Carol of Lights & Madrigal Dinner

Happy Holidays!

This weekend was FaNTASTIC!! My parents came in town for the Carol of Lights~

It was FREEZING, but still fantastic as usual.

It was a GREAT weekend, we went out to Ransom Canyon to look around and had plenty of FABulous meals.

Jon and I went to the Madrigal Dinner at Texas Tech last night. What an experience! I have never been to a dinner/musical/show quite like this one. A Madrigal dinner is a relatively new innovation which blends old traditions from the Medieval period. We played the Mistletoe game :), had sweet cider punch and ate a "feast fit for Kings!" The music was wonderful, what talented chorale members we have at Tech! At the end we had candles and sang 'Silent Night' as a group.... it was very moving and a WONDERFUL way to get into the holiday spirit!

This past weekend we put up my little Christmas tree~ since I won't be in Richardson to help decorate the family tree; here is a pic:

I was reading M's blog and her list of what she is thankful for- I am going to share a list of things I am thankful for:

This Thanksgiving was fantastic, one of the best holidays with my family -- we all got to spend time together, and considering it doesn't happen very often- it was a blessing.

What a GREAT day -

So- YESTERDAY was FANTASTIC... Nick was born.. yay! And then Tech BEAT OU!! That was really a great football game, 34-27.. down to the last 31 seconds. GUNS UP Baby!

So, Nick is in the NICU for now- he came 1 month and 2 days early...head strong little guy, he was ready to meet his parents and all the rest of our crazy little family! He is only in the NICU for a little while, my mom has been able to go see him and hold his little hand. I am so happy that she is down there with Craig and Jill, Frankie is also in town- back from Australia JUST IN TIME! I absolutely can't wait to get to Houston... Wednesday better get her QUICK!

Thanks to all my friends who called to send their best wishes... and call me -Aunt Ashley- I LOVE IT! :)

I went tailgating with Brandi and her friends, tons of fun. This pic is probably right around when Nick was born!

Okay, back to reading for MKT- here is a weird happening.. the chapter I am supposed to read (ch. 3,4,11) 3 is gone.. seriously the book goes from pg.44 straight to pg.77.... WHY ? I have no idea. Also, there is no place in the spine where the pages have been ripped out- goes directly to the page 77, but the words do not match up. I am in a little of a pickle.. luckily Brandi is going to let me read CH.3 tomorrow morning. EEK!

The Biggest Loser~

It is soo very cold in Lubbock right now. Tomorrow will be in the 70's, but right now it is 39 outside!
