THANKSGIVING

First, all of the things I give thanks for this year.

*My wonderful family~ I love my parents and all they have done and continue to do for me, and my entire family. I love my brother, Frankie, he continues to inspire and amaze me. I love Craig and Jill for everything they overcome and continue to strive for in life. I love my nephew, Nick, he is just the cutest, sweetest little boy-Ever! He has brought a new type of love to our little family, and I enjoy every moment I get to spend with him.

*Jon~ He is a wonderful man that in 3.5 years has brought so much to my life. He is wonderfully smart and has the biggest heart. He keeps me sane, when things seem too much to handle he keeps me grounded. I have no idea where life is going, but I am so happy that we will "go" there together.

*Mr. Big~ I love my puppy. He is so smart and so funny with the best attitude ever!

*My friends, my girl friends are ah-mazing. Leah keeps me company everyday after work and listens to all the 'fun' daily stories. Meredith is so smart and dedicated to law school, I envy her passion for her goals in life. I love knowing that no matter what time of day I have a great friend to call. Rachael is such a great girl, and FOREVER level headed and witty. She is there with so many answers, questions to ponder and in the end a good laugh. Julia, the new mom, full of good advice and a friendly shoulder to lean on. I love my girlfriends with all of my heart.

Oh-My-Goodness my precious nephew is one!!!!

I can't believe it has been a year, congrats Craig and Jill you have survived your first year of parenthood :) YAY.

The birthday party was last Saturday and sadly, I was not able to make it. But according to the photos from Jill and the recap from Grandma and Grandpa the first birthday party was a success.

I have a few photos, hopefully more after the Turkey Day celebration next week.

Your day of birth to your very first BIRTHDAY!

So cute, growing so fast into such a big boy!

Look how handsome he is becoming!

So... I totally DIDN't MAKE 30 posts in 30 days

But that is okay, I would have hated to bore you all! So, instead we are back to regularly scheduled posting by Ashley, aka whenever something noteworthy happens. :)

ME

I am... in love.
I think... my job is pretty wonderful.
I know... that life is good.
I want... a chocolate shake.
I have... a great man.
I wish... I could go to my nephew’s first birthday party.
I hate... when I slack off on running.
I miss... my family.
I feel... tired and sneezy.
I hear... the movie we are watching.
I smell... nothing, my nose is stuffy.
I search... for great books.I wonder... about many things.
I regret... nothing, I try to learn from the less than stellar choices I have made.
I love... my best friends.
I care... too much about what other people think of me.
I always... have chapstick, Burts Bees to be specific.
I am not... energized at the moment.
I believe... in my family.
I dance... when I have my iPod.
I sing... in the car.
I don’t always... remember to change the laundry to the dryer (which I need to get up and doooo).
I write... letters and then forget to mail them, I HATE that.
I win... .
I lose... my earrings at the end of the day if I don’t immediately put them back in my jewelry box.
I never... go to bed on time.
I listen... to books on cd and I LOVE them.
I can usually be found... at work, these days.
I’m scared of... failure.
I read... a lot.
I forget... to put things in the mail.
I just... took a sip of my cranraspberry juice.
I am happy about... spending time with Jon this evening.

GRR8

Today was a wonderful day.

Tuesday, November 11, 2008

So, I already missed day 10- opps!

GO AMY C. on the BL!!!! I am so proud of her, she stood up for herself and didn't follow along with her "team;" if you can call two crazy ladies and their leashed husbands a team. (GRR I am so upset with the Biggest Loser)

I have been a fan of the Blue Team since the first season, I LOVE Bob~ I like his style, his personality, etc etc. I own his book, I own Jillians dvd, and the more I use her dvd the more I like her. She isn't "mean" per se, she is motivating in different ways. ;)

Back to these "ladies" they aren't ladies they are girls, children with hormone issues. They are so mean and conniving, I know it is a show, I know it is a game, but I also know that we are watching these people display their largest obstacles (no pun intended) on national television as they try to accomplish what most of us work on EVERYDAY. Instead of working towards the weight loss and the prize they are sloppy and attack the other players mercilessly. I was so happy to see Brady go home, I hope Vicky cries LONG and HARD and can join her husband next week. (I don't like her and I haven't since day one) I would be so embarassed to be on national t.v. acting like a hormone and greed driven crazy person. She should have gone on wheel of fortune because all she wants is the money.

**I know what you are thinking, NBC loves these deviant women because here I am blogging about their show*** I am disappointed in NBC, too. This show has been so great- a little game play and A LOT of inspiration. Now it is all game play and very little workout inspiration.

Anyways, back to the GREAT part- I love this show because I love watching these people change their lives, I am inspired by their ability to do it-to it. I am also loving that Amy is looking out for herself, the fat, err I mean fab 4 would have axed her immediately, so no she didn't "tow the team line" but she did play for HERSELF. WAY TO GOOO! I hope she takes it all.

For the first time in 70+ years....

The RED RAIDERS are 10-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight's game was GRREEAT, 56-20. Apparently some people thought last week's win against Texas was a fluke; tonight, hopefully, squashed those nonbelievers. WRECK 'EM TECH.

I have almost ALWAYS been proud to be a Red Raider (almost, ie the vick em business last year... disgusting) moving on... I LOVE TECH. Seven years in attendance and a lifelong loyalty!
I love football and I absolutely LOVE TECH FOOTBALL!! I don't know what I will do next weekend with no football, but I can't wait for Nov 22 and the game against ou.

Sooner? What is a sooner anways?! ;)

Setup, complete. Ready to hit the track!

Raider Red joined us!!!

RR was requesting his name tag go over the cowboy hat... it was funny.

And the name tag 'foot' is on!

All of us!

TGIF (almost...)

Look at how cute the fam is!??!
Jordyn was occupied with the camera :)

Big was curious about Jordyn and about 2 seconds later she was curious about him, too. The work newsletter; yay! They added a photo of two yorkies, wish they would have asked me~ I have TONS of pics of my Big! *The ad above the blurb about moi is for my Stride & Ride! This week has been a busy one, but the temps are doing a MUCH better job. They are great but exhausting. I have a greater appreciation for teachers- it is tough being the "one with the answers," supposedly I have ALL the answers to their questions. KUDOS to our educators!

I wonder if....

I could post EVERYDAY for a month... probably not. I don't know that that many interesting things are going on, but I will give it a shot!

The other night Jon and I had so much fun; we made cookies/brownies mixed together!
Cookie/Brownie mix: $5
Water & 1 egg: $1
Jon baking with me: SUPER FUN
and...

He made the brownies and I made the cookie dough mix and then we did this...

And after 35 minutes in the oven....

YUMMY GOODNESS!
Big was a GREAT helper, he took a nap~ oh a dog's life!

We all know how much Jon likes photos- he was cleaning up the mixing bowls!
Enjoying delicious cookie/brownies and hanging out with the one you love... PRICELESS!

The End.

The 4th....

The OTHER 4th, not July! (HAHAHAAA I crack myself up)

Did you vote? I did!!

As Mandy said, I like proof of action, but when they send you the ballot they don't send a sticker. :(

No picture of a sticker, but I was super excited to send in my vote- so I photographed the moment before I went to the mailbox!

I wish I had known about the FREE Starbucks, I would have participated this morning.

WRECK 'EM TECH

The game last night against Texas was AH-MAZING! What a wonderful, wonderful football game, and it is certainly nice that the Red Raiders picked up another WIN! 9-0, 5-0, BCS ranking #2, Fan Poll #1. What an extraordinary weekend for Tech football.

Yesterday was just a great day. First Big & I went to tailgate with the Headley's and their friends.
Adam fried a turkey, grilled hamburgers and hotdogs... soo good!

LOVE his koozie (it is from the Boo Bash last week :))

Look at all of the tailgaters, where Thompson hall used to be...

"Blackout Texas" inside Jones stadium, great Tech fans!

I also ran into Holly, good thing too because her son really wanted the foam finger that was in the back of my car!
Holly, Joebob & Mr. Big

I love the tagline at the top of the scoreboard... can't wait for next week, OSU!
