4th of July -- Family, Fun and Freedom

Oh the 4th was so much fun!!! Jon and I drove to Dallas picked up Dad and then headed for the LAKE! It was 500 miles and 7 hours in the car, but oh so much fun once we arrived!!

Lake Alan Henry with the Skipworths, it was so much fun on a Saturday. The lake is only an hour and half away; it is owned by the city of Lubbock and is so clean! No one is allowed to keep their boat on the lake, nor is there a marina. It was beautiful, fun and ALL day long! Holly and I lakeing! tubing for the first time since I was 17, maybe... so excited... little did I know what was in store for me the next three days. We had so much fun!! This is why I felt so OLD for the next three days.. but it sure was FUN!!!

Fire Fest

So, the ladies auxiliary throws a heck of a party for their men every summer, this year we joined in the festivities through our hospitality booth. Fun out at Buffalo Springs "lake," I use the term lake loosely... it's an over-sized pond in my opinion. But fun none the less.
